Stephenie Santilli is a music teacher who offers music lessons in Charlotte, NC. In her own words, this is her calling to music:
MY CALLING TO MUSIC
I have always enjoyed just listening to music.
From the infectious theme song of The Nanny to the ancient chants of Psalm 150, and even the diverse tunes streaming through the radio waves, music has been an ever-present companion, inviting me to sing along.
My journey into the realm of music began with humble elementary school performances, which paved the way for an extraordinary opportunity to join the Charlotte Choir School. After elementary school, I embarked on a transformative path at Northwest School of the Arts, where I dedicated myself to both piano and voice. For seven enriching years, Northwest provided me with a comprehensive musical education, exposing me to this captivating art form. I was fortunate to partake in various All-State and auditioned festival chorus events, which fueled my passion and further refined my skills.
In the wake of my departure from Northwest in June 2017, I sought to nurture my love for music at Wingate University. It was there, amidst a community of kindred spirits, that I pursued a degree in church music, which I proudly obtained in May 2021. Embracing the essence of this sacred art, I discovered a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment.
In April 2021, a new chapter of my musical odyssey unfolded as I embarked on the path of teaching. Guiding eager learners through private lessons has been an absolute delight, igniting a fire within me that burns with each passing minute. Witnessing the growth and development of my students is a constant reminder of the transformative power of music, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion with them.
As I reflect on my journey, from the innocent melodies of my early school days to the intricate compositions studied in higher education, I am humbled by the profound impact music has had on my life. It is an ever-evolving symphony that continues to shape me, and I eagerly anticipate the future harmonies yet to be discovered.
